There is no way Rose will leave Dimitri alive and become a strigio. Rose has been trained to kill Strigoi, she already has killed heaps of them and Rose wouldn't abandon Lissa like that. Lissa and Rose have been like sisters all their life and Rose only knew Dimitri for a matter of months. I think Rose will end up with Adrain in the fifth book after she kills Dimitri. She won't want to kill him, but she'll do the right thing and potentially save many Moroi lives by doing it.

Given the first chapter, for me, it's not a question of will Rose kill Dimitri in this book. IMO, the question is, Will Rose even FIND Dimitri in this book? For all we know Dimka's not even in Russia/Siberia.

Dimitri already dead? No. I doubt it. Rose and Dimitri are meant for each other! If he's already dead, there's not much point to Rose's quest. Plus, if he's already dead, where would be the (this is probably the wrong word) but 'confrontation' or 'conflict' when Rose encounters him?

I agree with Ballroomdancer, there's no wayDimitri could already be dead. Finding him is the whole purpose of this book (and possibly the next 2 as well). Having him already killed leaves the series without a plot in a way. And that's also part of the reason I don't think Rose will kill Dimitri in Blood Promise (if she's able to kill him at all). The story would end there, there has to be more to it than that.

Yes, exactly. If you haven't noticed, Dimitri is a major thing in all of the books. Just because he's gone for the time being doesn't mean he's gone forever. We'll be see him again.

I'd be soo depressed for days if Rose does kill Dimitri. I was sad enough with the ending of Shadow Kiss. I'm willing to bet many ppl will be a lil suicidal if Dimitri dies...man, Richelle would get so much hate mail if she kills him off.

Im not gonna be able to focus in school the week after i read it. It feels like i've been waiting forever for the book to be released. Been trying to read other books to occupy my time and none of them measure up. it's disappointing

I know I'd be upset if Rose (or someone else) had to kill Dimitri, but at the same time if he manages to be healed it'll seem too perfect. They're life isn't perfect (that much is obvious with all that's happened in the previous books) and to suddenlt (or even not suddenly) find some miracle that allows Dimitri and Rose to be together just seems to fairytale-ish. Though if it turns out fairytale is the way to go I won't complain.

Oh I know how you feel. Lets just hope RM choose to write the right thing.
