I don't think they should. I don't have faith producers can do the books justice.

But then, if they did make a movie, I personally don't think it would be a good movie.
The book has to much action and stuff that you wouldn't be able to put in a movie.

I don't want the movies to end up being so weak-hearted, that the only good thing about them would be the casting decisions at all...the way the Post-Columbus movies ended up doing.

But what if Mead directs it? It could be amazing. She could put herself in the shoes of Rose and all the other characters. You read how she describes their feelings. Put it to life. If I would to make this movie I would make sure everything is like the books. The characters and their moods. I was pretty poed what they did to Twilight and i really didnt like the movie. But, like I said if Mead directs who knows where its gonna go? I mean she could make the movie jaw dropping amazing or really stupid. But she wrote the books, she could do the movies. Thats the problem aurthors dont step in when someone is gonna make a movie about their book. If they did that movies could be so much better. Im not putting much thought into this, but if they did I really think the movie could be great.

If the author could have the ultimate say-so about creative decisions for a movie, that would be ideal. However, when an author sells the rights to their books, any creative decisions are officially out of his or her hands. If the producers consult with the author and actually listen to any guidance the author has to offer, then things are good. But in general they don't. Which is really unfortunate.

If they get the directer from twilight that would be great. she had a lot of say but kinda let it slide to their decsion. Maye Mead is different. Hopefully.

They should totally get Zack Snyder to direct some of these movies!!!

I could imagine the likes of Christian Ozera screaming out to the Strigoi,'THIS.IS.OZERA!!!!!!! as he goes to kick the Strigoi into the pit of death, in that instant.

Oh God, no! Not the same director as Twilight! NOOOO!!!! She's the one who screwed it up! They made it look like Stephenie Meyer had some say in the movie, but I doubt she did. Or anything Stephenie said went in one ear and out the other.

I think they should make a TV Series not a movie.
Each book should be a season, like True Blood.

I totally agree with the Zach Synder comment!! lolz He'd be totally awesome. I mean... just think. Dawn of the Dead meets Watchmen meets 300. I can see this happening actually. He'd be the perfect director. I also really like Danny Boyle. I think he'd be a good option as well.

Honestly, I'll be really glad if Richelle has any say where cast and script are concerned. The movie might not be a complete ruin if producers and director ask her advice on these things and actually take it into consideration. Or if they employed her help. Or just made it her final decision. But how many actually do that? I know there are some writers that have written the script for the movies based on their books. But not many.

Richelle's Succubus series should be made into a TV series. Like Dexter and True Blood. But I really think Vampire Academy would make awesome movies. There's just enough content in them to make each one a good 2hr long movie. I think a show would just be kind of annoying and redundant. I don't think one book would be able to make one season if it were a TV show. There's just not enough content. Not enough major events. But you can condense the important things into a movie in my opinion.

I'm boycotting if either Catherine Hardwicke or Summit Entertainment are involved with a VA movie series though.
