Honestly if she's become that insane so fast I don't think she'd consciously be able to reenter the story. However, they might revisit her somewhere. Who knows really. After reading VA I didn't think Victor was going to be all that important anymore, but he's held to be pretty damn important to the whole series so anything could happen with Avery.

I hope Avery comes back! She's one of my favorite characters! Personally if Dimitri ends up with Rose I want Avery and Adrian to get together and make little future spirit user babies!

Now what is the best way to describe Avery Lazur, T.V Tropes-style?

Depraved Bi-Sexual: Let's face it, she has to be bi because she tried to wipe out her own species, is manipulative without ample justification, not to mention all the glorious times in which Rose's comrades-at-arms should have actually saw her coming, which means that since bone-jumping leads to the purest magical augmentations, its safe to say she did it with other girls she controlled.
Your mileage may vary with how depraved she may be.


Always Chaotic Evil!: Remember, she murdered her own brother and didn't even get caught by the Furies, via Plot-Armor(Which i intend to discuss, some other thread!) with Spirit, as Rose and Company had to find out about that, the hard way.
What makes it worse is that she is further proof that once more, the most lethal threats to any society can come from both outside, and within, because she tried to have her entire species slain for very bad reasons.

Poisonous Friend: Probably related to the first trope i listed out that didn't have an entry on her, whatsoever(as of yet!) but make no mistake, if you check the Vampire Academy section(Which needs updating by now!) you'll find Avery on that list, and i am quite surprised no one had struck her down, about as much surprised as i am when the Potter-World took too dang long to put Scumbridge in Azkaban, but that's another story.
She's poison to Rose and Company, in its entirety, because she wanted to break them mentally and psychologically before she goes in for the outright kill, and she started with the last Dragomir Princess, first(which in all honesty for me, was the last straw, but i digress, again!)

Rewarded as a traitor deserves:Oh, so very much this trope was gloriously fulfilled when she was driven further mad with abuse of Spirit, before she got to finish off the Academy which her father so very much weakened(thus rob Humanity in general of a vital buffer against the mess the Moroi Species' ancestors helped to create, in the first place!) she even betrayed her family, and from there her treachery gets all so much worse until finally the tip of the iceberg that is her comeuppance finally kicked in.


And that in itself may be the tip of the iceberg that is the extended list, really.
