| Why do you suppose he fed the sinister view people had of him by being such an outcast? Or do you think it wasn't his choice?
Imagine seeing your parents and their eyes and what? Living with them? Could he not run? And why did it take time for the aunt (why or why can't I remember her name?) to figure it out? And how do you suppose she got Christian away from two Strigoi before she learned all her martial arts skills?
Is he good for Lissa? Or is Lissa good for him?

| Christian is deff. a complicated and deep boy. I personally think he fed the sinister views of people because it was easy. It might have been harder for him to talk about his parents as if they where evil.
He was young when it all happened and I dont think he really understood what was going on, there his parents the people who were suposse to take care of him, why would he want to run from them. I think that when you go Strigoi you still do keep some humanity and i think his rents recognized him as their son and they just wanted him to have a better life . . . or what they thought was a better life. i think this is why his aunt never recognized the danger till it was too late . . . i also think this is why she was able to save him and herself with out getting killed, they didn't want to harm them, they just wanted to be with them.
I think Lissa and Christian are good for each other, she shows him that he doesn't have to be an outcast and he shows her she doesn't have to be miss popularity. I think over the years they will help each other grow and keep balance of their lives.
::SPOILIER:: I also think now that Rose left the academy, she will feel a little at ease know Christian is with her best friend, after all he did help fight off Strigoi before. |

| Was it explained if Christian spotted the difference with his parents or if they were able to hide it from him? |

SPOILER (although it's pretty much impossible to discuss the books without writing spoilers)
He spotted it more or less. In the first book he tells Rose that they walked and talked just the same. Yes, they were a little more pale and did have a bit of red in their eyes, but they just seemed like his usual parents to him. Maybe he was way to young to process the differences.
Also, his aunt Tasha says that she only managed to rescue Christian because the guardians were on their way. Had they not shown up on time, she wouldn't have most likely been killed. Even so, she ended up with a hideous scar on her face. And that's exactly why she took up martial arts, so that she would never be defenseless (again). At least that's what I understood. |

| Thoughts on Christian...
On him being an outcast. I think some of it he imposed on himself. People treated him like a pariah. So maybe he figured, "If they're going to think bad about me, let it be true" somewhat. The other 'kids' at the school acted unfairly 'visiting the sins of the [parents] on the son'.
Was it ever mentioned at what age his parents turned? I know there was talk of waiting until he was old enough. But was he within the age of reason? Meaning, would he know what was happening? Would he have understood the whole thing? If he didn't know or understand, you couldn't expect him to run away from the only parents he's known. Too bad they didn't have Moroi Child Protective Services. LOL! Then Christian could have been helped. Maybe been put with other family like his aunt.
I agree with ash about Lissa being good for him and the other way around.
Overall, I like his character. He's kinda a cool guy. More spoilers... I liked that we got to know him away from Lissa when Rose was assigned to him as his Guardian. I like that he's not totally "Rebel Without A Cause" like. I can't put my finger on it, but there is something special about him. |

| To be honest... I dont understand why people like Christian. I mean he is an interesting character but I just dont get him.
I live everyday with my bestie who is obsessed with Christian Ozera.
You cant have a conversation with her without Christian being mentioned. Trust me... she can relate any topic to that loser strigoi boy (my nickname for christian... it annoys her alot) |

| I think Christian is a great character! He's very interesting! Not that I'd obsess over him but he's like this rebellious BA on the rise. He has nothing on Dimitri but I think he's great with Lissa. He makes her happy and he really does care about her. It's exactly what she needs.
SPOILER I do agree with the statement that Rose will be able to rest easier. So, there's another reason why I appreciate Christian Ozera, all though I resent his aunt. He'll be able to keep Lissa sane as much as he is able. |
