I think we saw a lot more about Court Politics in Spirit Bound.
Its not all democratic. I love that Rose stood up for Dhampirs. It sucks they don't get a say in what happens to them. Being an outcast is their only alternative.
Just because Rose is a badass novice\ guardian does not mean everyone else is.
Felt like the Death Watch ceremony was a sham. Its obvous most moroi don't really care about Dhampirs dying or future generations of moroi.
A monarch was assasinated. I'm picking a political rival as the killer.

What does everyone else think?

I thought it was really interesting that we saw so much of the politics in SB. It's obvious that dhampirs don't get told enough about them. Maybe Rose missed some instruction on the political aspects of life in one of the two times she wasn't at the academy, but to me it seems like the dhampirs are only educated in fighting etc. So it was interesting to see just how they pass certain laws and further aspects of how they deal with rule breakers.
I don't think it's fair that the Moroi have control over the dhampirs though. Even if Tatiana (or some other moroi) was the Queen/King, I think dhampirs should have their own government, not just their own punishing system and records. It'd mean they have their own voice on matters that involve them.

Two houses and a president (or king\queen) sounds right.
Rose isn't going have her case heard by her peers if it gets to that stage.
Thats not justice.
