What do YOU think would be the most *important* approach that the Vampire Academy would need if made into a movie or TV series? Again, most important approach, not best approach.

Actually, the film rights for the series have been bought. The series is currently being shopped to studios. So hopefully it will become a movie series. The biggest approach towards getting the production of a film in motion is getting a studio to support the film. Fox Television bought the films rights to Richelle's other book series Succubus Blues like a year or to ago, but there has been no progress made with a tv show or film for that series. So hopefully the same won't happen with Vampire Academy. I think Vampire Academy has a better chance since vampires are so popular right now. Succubus Blues would be a little harder to film because the subject matter is far more racier than Vampire Academy.

I think VA will probably get the greenlight soon. Dunno how it will do in the mainsteam with so many vampire tv shows\movies. House of Night is being adapted too.

I think it depends on which one gets green lit first. I don't think a movie studio has taken on the House of Night series yet and I think the rights for that series were bought a while ago. So if VA manages to get a studio first then the first film could actually come out before the House of Night movies even get find a studio. I also think VA has a solid plot that guarantees it will do far better then say that Cirque Du Freak film. Vampire Academy already has a big fan base that is pushing for it to become movies, so I don't think it will be at risk of getting shuffled in the middle of all the other vampire movies/shows trying to cash in on the trend and just become another Cirque Du Freak.

I'd love to see a film version of the books. I think they'll be great but it also depends on the cast who'll be playing everyone. Ben Barnes is definitely the best fit for Dimitri I think but not sure about Rose, Lissa, Christian and Adrian. That will take some good looking for to find the perfect one.

Plus, if the first book/film comes out after Twilight has finished, I'm really sure that loads of people will go and see it because it's another vampire film saga thing.

I'm not completely opposed to Ben Barnes as Dimitri, but I'd rather see Taylor Kitsch play Dimitri. He's closer to how I pictured the character.

They both look a bit similar and I think their muscles will be put into thought because I see Dimka very muscular, in a way.

Twilight is NOT.A.SAGA!!!!!*Starts remix*

That said, why aren't they being arsed to continue the Cirque Du Freak movies?
Wouldn't it be best to keep the movies away from the Weitz brothers or John Hodge?
