The ghosts can't actually speak though. Rose was only able to learn from Mason that Dimitri was strigoi because she asked him yes or no questions that he was able to respond to with a head shake. So unless Rose already has a suspect in mind or just randomly guesses the identity of the murderer correctly, asking Tatiana's ghost straight out who murdered her is not going to work.

That is very true. They could play it like 20 questions though. Was it ......? Was it ....? You get the idea. They could at least narrow it down a bit.

I don't disagree with you that Ambrose could certainly have motives for wanting the Queen dead if Richelle did decide to make him the killer, or at the very least an accomplice in her murder, but I also think he has motives for not wanting the Queen dead. Ambrose defended Tatiana when Rose criticized her for lowering the graduating age for dhampirs and believed there must have been a better reason for why she made that ruling. He also helped Tatiana, Rose, and Lissa by giving Rose Tatiana's note about Lissa's half-sibling. If Ambrose wanted to frame Rose why even bother honoring his lover's request to give Rose her note?

I think it's most likely that the murderer is Daniella, Tasha, or maybe both of them. Whomever the killer is probably didn't commit the crime on their own as they would have had to get around all the security that would undoubtedly have been protecting the Queen. Maybe one of the Queen's guardians was also in on the plan.

I meant Ambrose stole teh file and that he knew about the possible upcoming murder of the queen through her decree. I think Daniella very well had an affair and that she had a lot to do with it and Adrian could be her half-brother. If Adrian did do the killing, well then i guess i dont have to worry about him and rose ending up together. Im still trying to figure out how the guardians were not at all aware of this, or even ambrose. I think that a spirit user may have manipulated them, which brings me back full circle to the old theory of Victor. What if he wanted Lissa to be queen andknew this was the best way to do it. For some reason I cant seem to shake this nagging suspicious he is involved. maybe he even stole teh file. so many theories!!!

Ambrose just seems to obvious. I think Richelle will surprise us regardless of the outcome and maybe she suspects we will canoodle about it til we get the ending. i kinda hope adrian did do it though............is that bad? i dont like him and rose together! sorry adrian lovers.

That would still suggest that Ambrose was in on her murder and I can't picture Ambrose willingly agreeing to go along with a plan to murder Tatiana whether it be her own orders or some vengeful scheme concocted by angry dhampirs or Moroi.

I don't think anyone would want to read a scene with Rose playing 20 questions with the dead Queen. If the killer is someone close to her, like Tasha, she's never going to guess the right answer anyways so it would be a complete waste of time. Plus, you also have to consider that there was probably more than one person that aided the killer in going through with his/her plan and Tatiana probably doesn't know who those people are.

I agree. I think it was more than one person too. I think it would take a whole conspiracy to pull that off. Some of the people involved may have been compelled. I can't stand the wait! It's only a couple of days now. I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to call in sick at work so I can stay home and read.

I'm probably going to try to prolong LS for me by re-reading the first 5 books first. Since Vampire Academy is my favorite book series I'm not too eager for Rose's story to be over. Crying or Very sad

Okay, so there a lot of people who suspect Tasha to kill the queen. A lot of people also think her reason for framing Rose was she was jealous of Rose and Dimitri's relationship. Honestly I think she is or would be fine with that whether or not she knows. My idea for her motive is that Rose had the best motive for killing the Queen. She probably didn't want to but thought that would be the easiest way for her not to get blamed, if she had just done it the guardians and Moroi police would have done extreme cross examinations an eventually figure out that it was her and then it would be her head on the chopping block. Just my thoughts

its so hard to tell who like use all of great points but thinking about it i think maybe tasha so she can get rid of rose for dimitri and she obivously didnt like the queen much maybe adrians dad he didnt seem to like rose or the queen i dont think she killed herself but who no's but i was thinking maybe sydney the human she told rose basically about the files and not to read them maybe she found out that the queen went through them and konws about lissa lost sibling and killed her and set rose up because shes connected to lissa and thinks she'll try and find the lissa lost sibling its so hard i think we'll just have to wait and see because richelle mead is to hard to predict i think we'll all be surprised
