Nathan...?

I can't remember if this was his name or not. He was that one strigoi that Rose ran into during the school fight.
Does anyone remember how the book described him?

He's the strigoi that awakened Dimitri in the cave as well.

So do we think there will be more to his story? In Shadow Kiss when Nathan bit Dimitri and looked to Rose for her reaction I got the impression that he was no random strigoi. I had expected it to be revealed in Blood Promise that he had some kind of connection to Dimitri, Rose, or someone else they knew and was surprised when no such revelation was presented in the book. Does anyone think we might learn more about Nathan in Last Sacrifice?

I never thought that there could be something more to him. I think RM will keep this to herself until LS, possibly. I hope we get to know a lot more about some of the characters we've met, but not much description.

I was thinking that too. Everyone keeps suggesting Jill as Lissa's half-sibling but I think she's too obvious of a guess. It really felt to me like Richelle was hinting at there being more to Nathan, so I'm really hoping he will turn out to be Lissa's sibling. I think Lissa being related to someone that turned strigoi is far more interesting than being related to another student at the academy.

I was so sure with Jill, but now, we have so many options. I think Nathan will play a vital role, maybe, in LS. I'm not really sure where i'm going with this, but he HAd to be in SK for some reason, except for 'awakening' Dimitri. There has to be something else to it, other wise, having him there as a character will be pointless. Any thoughts to add to this?

I suggested this theory on the official VA movie page on facebook and everyeone acted like I was crazy. They're so sure it's Jill which is why I don't think it's her. I doubt Richelle would make the most obvious person Lissa's half-sibling. It feels to me like she's purposely trying to steer us in that direction so she can slap us with a suprise by making it someone nobody ever considered.

I have that exact thought about Tasha being the killer! I think people are getting way ahead of themselves, thinking it was Tasha cos RM didn't mention her in the last bits of SB.

And finding out that he is will no doubt be far more interesting, as you said.
Plus, being that Lissa is able to revive him will be more of a story than with Jill, who is quite simple to find and all.

Maybe Nathan didn't really die. We were only told by Dimitri that he killed Nathan, we never actually got to see it for ourselves.

Dimitri told Rose that he killed them all. As we all know though, Rose thought she had killed Dimitri but she turned out to be wrong. So it's entirely possible that Richelle will surprise us in LS by revealing Nathan is not really dead. But even if Dimitri really did succeed in killing Nathan in BP that doesn't mean he can't still be Lissa's half-sibling. Most people are going on the assumption that Lissa's sibling is alive even though it was never said in SB that Lissa's sibling is currently living.

Hmm. Good point.
But in order for Lissa to be queen, there has to be another living Dragomir. So what I'm thinking is that they'll most likely be alive.
Not saying that Lissa will for sure be queen but I don't think Richelle would mention it in the book if the half-sibling was dead.
It would kind of make it more depressing for Lissa's sake.

I personally want to learn more about Nathan though.
I think he was in it for more of a purpose than to just awaken Dimitri and be killed in the end.
