It's kind of weird though that they changed the Shadow Kiss cover so much and not the other two...
BUT BLOOD PROMISE COVER!!! =D

I'm one of those weirdos who likes having a series in the same format. Shadow Kiss is in paperback...so why'd they do Blood Promise in hardback? The Casts just pulled that same BS for Hunted after 4 paperback books.

i hate it when they have three paper back books and then a hard cover book. it costs a lot more and it look ugly next to all of my other books

I don't think of aesthetics like that...I'm just eager to read the next installment! Paperback? Hardcover? It makes no difference to me! Just bring on the story!

Oh and I think that the picture for Shadow Kiss is Lissa... but why?

I mean she didn't really do much in this book. And Rose basically *SPOILER* chose Dimitri in the end... *SPOILER* so why is she on the cover? She didn't really do much... all she did was go to the trial thanks to Rose due to Adrian's infatuation with her, then she had spirit classes (normal stuff), then she got a meeting with the queen (because of Rose in a way since the Queen doesn't want her to hang around Adrian), then she got her ass in trouble due to her curiosity and guess who had to save it.... dun dun dun dum....ROSE!!

Dimitri played a more important part... I mean he turned *SPOILER* supposedly turned into a Strigoi *SPOILER* and finally did the deed with Rose. I mean c'mon.... WHY??

I have the first three in paper back. In addition to the ones downloaded on my kindle. I also have the audio on my Ipod. So essentially I bought each book three times. The Audio books are like $24 a piece. I already ordered it for my kindle but Rm's coming to boulder and I want an autographed copy so I'm hoping they will have a paper back that I can buy to match the others. Because I really don't think it's fair the way the system works. I should not have to buy all the books a fourth time just to have a matching set.

I wish books worked the way the new movies do where it has a mp3 download code in it so you don't have to repurchase the thing all over again.

I only have the succubus series on my kindle but would buy those if I could get them autographed. It's frustrating

I hate having a mismatching series too! I mean, why can't they just pick! HC, or PB! I don't care which, just make sure we have the option of a matching series at the time of release. I haven't read VA, only Frostbite and Shadow Kiss, because I didn't find the need to go into detail about what happened in book one, as it explains the plot of VA in like, a paragraph in FB. But I have FB and SK in paperback. I wish I could have a matching series. It's like with my Series of Unfortunate Events books. I have all hard cover except for book #7. It looks so weird on my shelf, because its taller than the others, and has a different publisher. It really annoys me.

I also prefer the old covers. I don't understand why they changed them. I think they looked way better before.

Also, hard cover books are so much more expensive. When I pre-ordered my copy in January, it was only, like $11. Now its $21. I think when I pre-ordered they didn't know they were making it HC yet. Oh well! Lucky me, I got it cheap, and early!

WOW! What a relief to know that I'm not the only one out there that is picky about how my collection looks! lol... I seriously think if I had the money I would buy the books with the new cover! Plus try to get them in HC if not all of them as to be in PB. Right now my entire book collection is one and the other so it looks… it just bothers me lol… but I love my books so it’s something I can deal with… I wonder… isn’t that some type of OCD or complex??? LOL
