Sorry, I know people are really touchy about that kind of thing. Okay, I can't help but to think that there's a catch. Rose's fortune was that she would "kill that which was undead." Well, Dimitri is now one of the undead. *moment of silence to mourn* But I can't help but to think that there's no way Richelle is going to have Rose kill Dimitri. I think Rose will somehow figure out how to literally kill the undead part of Dimitri, the Strigoi part and that will reverse him back into being alive. It's a long shot, I know, but I know there has to be a catch. This is wishful thinking on my part (I love a happy ending!), and it's the only thing I can think of, even though it really doesn't seem plausible. Any thoughts? I don't mind if you think this theory is crap. I wonder myself sometimes. I'm open to idea. |

| I know what your saying about there being some sort of catch. Authors never just give you straight-up what is going to happen. They usually feed you something and have you thinking one thing is going to happen, but then there is a different meaning or something in what they wrote and it turns out to be something completely different... So I think that your theory very well could unfold and happen.
And I'm a sucker for happy endings too =] |

| I think there's one word that's very important, and that most here seem to have unconsciously forgotten.
Rhonda's reading: You will destroy that which is undead.
Not kill. Destroy.
I personally think that Rose is going to plunge into the world of the dead to bring Dimitri's soul back. And since Rhonda said "destroy," I think she's going to accidentally mess things up and slam the door between the worlds, meaning that the connection that Strigoi have with their lost souls will sever, destroying them all. Because seriously, doesn't that seem like Rose: intending to do one small thing and accidentally changing history by destroying all of the Strigoi- forever?
Chipping in on the tarot cards, it always seemed obvious to me that the upside-down sun stood for 'undead'. The sun is life. An upside-down sun doesn't stand for death, but the opposite of life- undead. Of course, I'm not a tarot card reader, but that's the way it played out in my mind. |

She was told her love life would be destroyed (not much news there), that she had an enemy (again, not much news, lol) that'd she'd go through alot of hard times, and finally, at the end, that she'd go on a journey.
Now, depending on how you look at things, I think we can forget card one of reading two. We all know what that meant. The enemy could be either Tatiana or even Dimitri himself; the hardship might be related to Victor, and the journey... well, either she'll have to go on a journey to get Victor out of prison, or she'll have to go on one to find Dimitri again. Either, way, it could work. |
