| I think the most exciting line in that thing was the very last one.
It really didn't say much. I thought that the trial would come faster anyway, since it's high treason she was accused of. So yeah, but that was an interesting opening with Abe. lines made me lolz. |

| What did you make of this line that Abe said in chapter 1? | Spoiler: | | | Rose and him were talking about her being in jail: "He survived this very situation. He's surviving other things too." |
I feel there is was a hidden message and has nothing to do with being a Striogoi. Abe isn't the type to care about others, except what he can get out of them or hurt them for doing to him or Rose. |

| def read the chapter, thought it gave alot of insight myself to the rest of the book, lots of possiblities... i def think that when Abe was checking out the cell that he could be in on the escape..maybe-maybe not but the book is 594 pages long..leaves alot of room for theories |

I think Adrian was | Spoiler: | | | also in on the escape. The whole story about him getting drunk and hanging out with other girls as a reason why he didn't show up at the funeral. |

| Please use spoiler tags for anything that has to do with the other 3 chapters. Not everyone has read those 4 chapters. but I do agree that that was Adrian's cover up. | Spoiler: | | | Just liek the statues exploding was a distraction not only to get as many guardians as they could away from the jail, but to get Dimitri out of his room. Who else could cause all that commotion with the Guardians guarding Rose? |

| thanx
after reading the first chapter i had to wonder if rose did go to trial and was found guilty i don't think shed be executed because they could argue that her bond with lissa is what keeps lissa alive. If rose dies lissa will go crazy and or kill her self and no one would want to risk losing the "last dragomir" as far as they know.
Then I thought about the person who killed the queen and why? If it was of a political gain about the dhampires what's the point if lissa could eventually join the council and overturn any such matters, why kill th queen who is more heavily guarded instead of lissa. My theory is this person wants lissa on the throne as a puppet, which made me think of victor. 'he'll never rule but he can influence someone else by force or blackmail. We'll find out soon enough. |

| The 1st chapter was good...and it was soo obvious that Abe was planning an escape for his daughter....good on him though...but 2 weeks until the vote for the new King/Queen...that means the vote will either have to be stalled or Rose will find Lissa's half-sibling just in time for Lissa to be voted for the throne. |
