Continuous on Part 38
Though everything was a blur, and my thoughts were scattered, I was still able to sense some things around me. Sora was very distracting, yes, but I could still feel how cold the room was, how ragged my breathing was, and how rough everything looked.
But once again, Sora got my attention, and everything else faded into something like background music. This time, I thought, this time we won't be stopped. And then, there was a bang as Sora's door opened, and Dustin walked in. "Wow, I guess Mom was right to tell me to keep an eye on you two. That would have been a close one." Dustin looked at me the whole time he spoke while Sora glared at his younger brother.
"What are you doing in here? Get out, I don't want you here." Sora kept his voice calm, but I could tell he wanted to rip his brother's throat out. At this moment? I couldn't complain, Dustin's timing sucked.
"Calm down, Bro. Chill, Mom said she didn't want you guys alone. Now I know why she told me to watch you two. Karyn would be too young to have walked in here." Dustin walked toward a chair in the corner and just...sat there. Looking at us...no, looking at me. What the heck?!
Sora growled but ignored his brother. Grabbing his blanket, he wrapped us up in it and he gently stroked my hair. Staring at him was calming, seeing him smile at me, feeling his body next to mine, hearing his breath and heart beat, and looking at his lovely icy blue eyes. I was at the only place I wanted to be: byu his side.
Slightly satisfied with my yearning increasing slightly, I decided it was time to fall asleep again. I was tired, traveling here to find Sora, running away from the Academy, I guess all that was finally taking a toll on me. As I closed my eyes, starting to slowly drift in to sleep, I felt Sora kiss me and whisper, "I love you." With one last feeble kiss from him, I let sleep take me in, and that was it, I was gone.

Part 39
Falling asleep with Sora around was easier than when I slept in my room back at the academy. Something about having him close eased my mind. No dreams or nightmares consumed me this one night. The thought of not having any images in my sleep was soothing, almost like a wish come true. But no, it was just the result of me being happy and safe for once.

Waking up for the second time, only to remember that I was in Sora's room was still disorienting. Sora lay next to me, arms wrapped around me, and his breath rustling my hair made me smile. Gently, I ran my fingers through his hair, and it was so soft, it made me giggle. I was in a sleepy daze, I admit, but when Dustin cleared his throat and got my attention, a grimace slowly spread across my face.
I looked over and spotted Dustin, still sitting in the same chair, with that silly and annoying grin on his face. I really wanted to throw the lamp on Sora's night stand. But, well, it was Sora's, and I didn't wanna break anything.
"What do you want? Leave me alone, Dustin." I growled and that made him laugh. I looked down at Sora because he started to stir in his sleep, but all he did was pull me closer to him and he didn't wake up. With a sigh of relief, I focused my attention on Dustin. "What the heck are you still doing in here anyway, couldn't you have let us be while we slept, ugh..."
"Actually, no, I couldn't. Mother left me to watch you two, and that's what I'm doing." he sounded so calm that I was ready to walk across the room and punch him.
Before I could even decide what to do, Sora's door slammed open and both of us turned to see who it was. A girl with mouse brown hair, blue eyes, and a little scar on her mouth was standing there, and when she saw me cuddled with Sora, she outright glared.
"Who's she?" Annoyed and ticked off, she nodded in my direction and looked at Dustin.
"Oh, her? That's Sora's girlfriend. He met her at one of the vampire academies." Dustin shrugged like he didn't have a care in the world.
"So what, now he's going after the half breeds?" Now she really looked pissed.
Dustin just shrugged. "He's in love with her, Gabby. What's the big deal? Stop you're silly little hurt pride before I stop it so he doesn't have to deal with you. I mean, come on! Look at him!"
She did, and she saw how I was by him, confused and shaken. Sora stirred and his eyes fluttered. The first thing he did was smile and kiss me. Then he noticed the atmosphere and saw the girl--Gabby--at his door.
He made a frustrated sound and asked her in a rude tone, "What are you doing here, in my room?! Get out! Dustin, you too!"
"Sorry, bro, can't do that, moms orders." Sora sighed deeply and looked back at the door.
"The least you can do is leave, Gabby. I'm happy, and I don't want you, or you messing anything up." with that said, it looked like he just shot her. Her eyes started watering and she ran out of the room. Sora sighed in frustration, but otherwise, didn't budge about what happened or what he said to her. It seemed like something went on between them, and I was going to find out what.

Part 40
I kept my thoughts to myself mostly. Sora seemed too distracted at being upset to even concentrate on my mind. Before I could think past wanting to find out what went on with them, I switched to a different train of thought in case Sora decided to check my head. He didn't. Not knowing what to do or say, I shifted uncomfortably next to Sora. As if finally remembering I was there, he turned to look at me.
"You okay?" He asked. Stupid question really. His ex just came into the room and then ran off all pissed because I was here, with Sora, in his room, and dating him. Nice, I thought to myself.
"I'm fine, I guess? Just a little confused." Wishing there was more to tell him, I just shrugged and then sighed when I felt the little tickle in my head.
Sora grunted as he processed my thoughts. I wondered what he was thinking...oh well. Suddenly, I felt angry and shoved him out of my head, he stared.
"What?" I asked.
"You can do that?...block me?..." He asked, astonished.
"Yeah, what of it?" I was a little more upset than I could have imagined, and it stunned me. "I'm sorry, but I need to go out and get some air. I feel so...claustrophobic.
Getting up slowly, Sora tried to stop me, but I ran out of the room, angry tears streaming down my face. I blinked them back and hoped they wouldn't show.
As I ran and ran, I eventually found the stairs, then the front door. Running out into the fresh air, I didn't stop. The last thing I heard was Sora's voice before something pierced through my shoulder blades. It hurt, but at the same time it felt wonderful.
And then, I was no longer running, I was being lifted into the air...

Part 41
After a few minutes of testing my balance, I got the hang of flying. It was wonderful, and I felt so alive, so thrilled. My whole body radiated a sort of warmth and electricity I never felt before.
Soon, a beautiful garden came into view, and I tried landing; not good. I crash landed, shredding my clothes in some places and scratching up my body. I knew I had fresh wounds, but I didn't care.
Standing up, I stretched out my wings, testing if they were ruined or anything; nothing. I shrugged off my poor landing skills and tried to retract my wings back into my shoulder blades. It was very difficult, I mean, it was easy to retract them, but I didn't like the feel of them being gone. Shivering, the winds had changed course. Looking out at the garden, things were beautiful. There were all kinds of flowers: peonies, violets, lilies, roses, daffodils, daisies and some that I didn't know. I picked the right place to go, I thought.
Focusing my senses outward, I felt a few other people were around me. No, not people, they were werewolves. Thinking, I wondered why they left me alone, then I remembered Sora and my world spun.
Sitting down, I felt better, but I started to cry. I covered my face feeling pathetic and self-conscious about the werewolves out there, watching me. Seconds turned to minutes, minutes transformed to hours, it took a while for me to notice that I had cried myself to sleep.
Hearing footsteps, I got up in a sitting position and scanned my surroundings and saw who was approaching me: Sora. A million emotions flooded into me: anger, love, passion, hurt. I didn't know why I felt that way, I just did, and nothing could make it feel any stronger; that was the worse thought ever. After a few moments, Gabby stepped into view and she was walking towards Sora. And he reached back and held her hand. I screamed.
